Grab some freebies

I cant believe it's been so long since I last posted !   I really must get back to posting goodies and stuff on here for you all to download.

While I've been absent from Blogger, I haven't been absent from the wacky world of PSP.
The forum Creative Addictions is going strong, we've just had our 6th birthday and new members are joining every day and loving it there.

We still have our exclusive tuts on there, which are open for anyone to follow - you don't have to be a member so why not click on the link above and come on over ?

Creative Addictions now also have a blog, where you can download tons of freebies created by our very talented members.  Each month we have a different theme and create clusterframes, scrapkits, templates, masks and wordart - this months theme is Christmas, and the goodies will be posted for download on 1st December.

Take a look over there and see what themes we've had going for the last few months.
All I ask is that if you download, please leave a comment - as a little appreciation for the time our members have taken to create freebies for you.

Here are some of my own creations you'll find over there too.

6 New Clusterframes for you

Here are some clusterframes Ive made using 3 awesome kits by Purples Kreationz.  Originally I was going to make 1 from each kit, but I had so much fun playing with all the elements that I wanted to show how versatile the kits are, so Ive made 2 from each kit.
You can buy these Purples Kreationz kits from Scraps from the Heart

BITCH WITH ATTITUDE_PINK CLUSTERFRAMES

MOBSTERS_II CLUSTERFRAMES

NAWTY SKULLICIOUS CLUSTERFRAMES
for this clusterframe I recoloured the wirefence element with a gradient to match.

I hope you like my frames, if you download any please leave me a comment.
I'd love to know what you think, but have removed my shoutbox cos I got sick of all the spammers.

Enjoy

OCEAN SPRAY - PTU TUT

OCEAN SPRAY

You will need:

1 tube of choice - I used the awesome artwork of Alicia Mujica - you need her own license to use.
The specific license & I bought this tube when Alicia was with PTE - her tubes can now be bought only from her own store La Boutique

Summer Cocktail scrapkit by Bibi's Collection -
This stunning kit can be purchased at Butterfly Blush Designs

This is a simple copy & paste tutorial,
so have a play around with all the gorgeous elements and have some fun with it.

Throughout this tut:

c/p = copy & paste

d/s = dropshadow used is 2 -2 40 4 black

Lets begin:

Open a new image 650 x 650

Resize paper 1 to 75% - mirror and c/p as a new layer

Resize element 62 to 65% - c/p as a new layer and place over the porthole on the paper

Set your magic wand tool at 100% tolerance and click inside the element - selections - modify -
expand 15 - selections - invert

Highlight your paper layer in your palette & hit delete on the keyboard - select none

Highlight your element layer - right click with your mouse & merge down

Resize 80% - Adjust - Sharpen

D/S - as per my settings above

C/P element 69 & place on the right edge of porthole - apply d/s

Place your tube to the right - resize if necessary ( I resized 90% and mirrored image) - apply d/s

C/P element 20 - mirror - rotate left 20

C/P element 2 - mirror - rotate left 20 - place this fish into the net so its head is poking out the top

Duplicate layer and drag below the net layer

On the copy layer erase part of the fish to show the rim of the net

Add d/s to the original fish layer (not the one you've partially erased) and the net layer

Thats the main body of the tag done, and now you get to add whichever elements you want to.
Be creative and have fun.

If you want to use the same elements as I have, they are:

4

29 resized to 60% - sharpened

29 (again) but resized to 30% - rotated left 40 - sharpened

40 resized to 85%

44

60

67

69

d/s all elements as before

Add the correct copyright and license info

Add your name - I used dsb flux bright noise on the name

Merge visible

That's it - you're done !

I hope you liked this tutorial, I'd love to see your results & welcome any comments.

Ocean Spray was written on18th June 2012 & copyrighted to me, Les aka Midnite Kiss.

New Event on Taking Back PSP

Taking Back PSP is at it again - some of you donated to their BCA cause a couple of months ago,

this next one will start on 20th September so plenty of time for you to donate towards their new cause.

For your donation you receive awesome tubes and kits which wont be available anywhere else AND will be helping make a sick childs dream a reality.

We are back and proud to announce that our next event will take place on September 20, 2012. This time around we will be raising funds for Make A Wish Foundation International - Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. The Foundation's mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish® experience has on children, families, referralsources, donors, sponsors, and entire communities.

Event tickets will once again cost $10.00 USD and all proceeds will go to Make A Wish Foundation International. Looking for FTU tuts ?

I've been without my psp since November and am slowly going insane ....Im seeing all these fabulous new tubes, templates and kits coming out and cant do a damn thing about it.
The PC died a death, and its been one thing after another trying to get it fixed.  Im on a laptop at the moment but wont dare install psp onto it cos if this dies I'll have no access to the internet and all my online family.
Anyway, if anyone is looking out for some great FTU tuts to do, why not drop on over to Creative Addictions ?  We have an Exclusive Tuts area which is open to anyone, you dont have to join us to do these but to see what else we have on the group does entail you joining.
We're a great bunch, even if I am biased LOL
